Welcome to Bridestrades LLC. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bridestrades website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), operated by Bridestrades LLC (“Bridestrades“, “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, browsing, listing, purchasing, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Overview of the Marketplace
Bridestrades is a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows individuals (“Sellers”) to list bridesmaid dresses and related items for sale and other individuals (“Buyers”) to purchase those items.
Bridestrades LLC is not a party to transactions between Buyers and Sellers. We do not own, inspect, authenticate, or take possession of items listed on the platform.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
To use the Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate, current, and complete account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
3. Listings & Seller Responsibilities
As a Seller, you agree that:
- Items listed are accurately described, including condition, measurements, alterations, and flaws
- Photos are authentic and unaltered representations of the item
- You have the legal right to sell the item
- Prices, availability, and shipping timelines are clearly stated
Sellers are responsible for:
- Proper packaging and timely shipment
- Using the shipping label or method provided by Bridestrades when required
- Communicating promptly with Buyers
Bridestrades reserves the right to remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
4. Buyer Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you agree to:
- Review listings carefully before purchasing
- Provide accurate shipping information
- Inspect items promptly upon delivery
Buyers must confirm delivery or report an issue within the timeframe specified in our Buyer Protection or Refund Policy.
5. Orders, Payments & Payouts
Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Bridestrades does not store full payment credentials.
Payouts
Seller payouts are issued through Stripe after:
- The item is marked as delivered, and
- Any applicable inspection or confirmation period has passed
Bridestrades may delay or withhold payouts if fraud, policy violations, or disputes are suspected.
6. Fees, Payments & Payouts
Marketplace Service Fee
Bridestrades LLC charges a 20% marketplace service fee on each completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the purchase price before seller payouts are issued. The service fee supports platform operations, payment processing, customer support, and dispute resolution.
All applicable fees are disclosed to Buyers and Sellers prior to checkout or listing completion.
Bridestrades may charge service fees, transaction fees, or other applicable fees. All fees will be disclosed at the time of listing or checkout.
Fees are generally non-refundable, except as required by law or expressly stated in writing.
Payments
Buyers are charged at the time of checkout. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Bridestrades LLC does not store full credit card or banking information.
Seller Payouts & Holding Period
Seller payouts are not issued immediately upon purchase. Funds are temporarily held following checkout and released according to the following process:
- The item must be marked as delivered based on carrier tracking
- Buyers have up to three (3) days from confirmed delivery to inspect the item and report any issues in accordance with the Refund Policy
- If no issue is reported within this period, the payout is released automatically to the Seller
This temporary holding period helps protect Buyers and Sellers and supports dispute resolution.
Delayed or Withheld Payouts
Bridestrades LLC reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts if:
- A refund request, dispute, or chargeback is initiated
- Fraud, policy violations, or suspicious activity is suspected
- Additional verification is required by Bridestrades LLC or Stripe
Payouts are issued only to Sellers in good standing and may be subject to Stripe’s processing timelines.
7. Shipping
Shipping may be facilitated through Bridestrades using prepaid labels or approved carriers. Sellers must follow provided shipping instructions.
Bridestrades is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
8. Refunds, Returns & Disputes
Refunds are issued only when an item is materially not as described or as otherwise required by law.
Buyers must report issues within the specified inspection period. Bridestrades may request photos, documentation, or return of the item before issuing a refund.
Bridestrades reserves the right to make final determinations on disputes at its sole discretion.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- List counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items
- Misrepresent items or engage in fraudulent activity
- Circumvent fees or payments outside the platform
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Services
10. Intellectual Property
All Bridestrades content, including logos, branding, text, and platform design, is owned by or licensed to Bridestrades LLC and may not be used without permission.
User-generated content remains owned by the user, but you grant Bridestrades a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for operating and marketing the Services.
11. Termination
Bridestrades may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or pose risk to the platform or its users.
You may stop using the Services at any time by closing your account.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BRIDESTRADES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIDESTRADES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSSES ARISING FROM TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN USERS.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bridestrades LLC from claims arising out of your use of the Services, your listings, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Florida.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
